This piece started out as a simple sketch of the head, and I liked where it was going, so I started making the body, and here we are.
I had a bunch of ideas for the pose and setting, but eventually I settled on him escaping the mines, which turned out pretty well.

Loincloth done in Marvelous Designer.
Textures mostly in Substance Painter, good mix of hand-painted & procedural.
12k tris on the body, though I used a subdivision level higher during the painting & clothing creation, for better results.
