Yzei is the Chancellor of the royal family of the Twilight Realm. In the days of peace, he's used to make sure that the day-to-day affairs of the kingdom proceed smoothly. However it is during the days of troubles that he particularly shines as a merciless (war) tactician and a very calculating mind. This talent doesn't make an evil fellow of him but he has a bad habit of analyzing even your darkest little secrets.
He sometimes offers his services to the twili people needing guidance when he has some free time, he's quite respected for this and won't act with condescension for people with other ranks than his. When he's not taking care of the Court problems and politics, the Chancellor is a very nice and cultivated person you can talk with easily. The main reason why he's so serious most of the time is the etiquette and rules applying with his status.
Him and Aruyda's father (Kawrok) are arch enemies and equals in intellect, even though Yzei is younger.
