Cacao spends a good chunk of time after clearing out the Citadel and during the rebuilding of the wall being miserable as **** because he’s constantly hungry to the point that he feels like he’s starving all the time (because of the sudden and energy-intensive changes he’s going through; he’s basically going through his entire life’s worth of dragon growth in like a few weeks), hurting and tired (because of said changes), unbalanced (because of his new appendages), and slightly dazed (because of all the hormonal changes that come with it).
Of course people want to help him so Holly gets into contact with the only other dragon they know; Pitaya.
It doesn’t go so great as Cacao is in serious denial that his whole life has been, to an extent, a lie.
