I wanted to do some studies to find a new approach to digital painting. I was reorganising some shelves and found my copies of Tokyo Ghoul which I hadn’t looked at in years and thought it’d make for a great starting place. Usually I put a lot more care into my line work which I’ve lately been finding limiting in my expression of colours. Typically I’m a very “colour within the lines” type of artist, but this has been the first time I’ve experimented with painting over the top of any defined line art.

I think it’s turned out well and I’ll definitely be trying this process again!
