**Backstory:**
After a one night stand, Flash was a rather unexpected result. His mothers' friendly relationship slowly began to fall apart before Rainbow Dash replaced Spitfire as head of the Wonderbolts when Flash was a young colt, and they cut ties entirely shortly after that. He rarely (if ever) saw his mothers in the same vicinity after that, though they did both make an effort to continue raising him and being present in his life. Flash grew up constantly on the move, not really feeling like he really belonged anywhere. Thanks to both of his mothers being arguably the best fliers in Equestria, he certainly built up skill himself from a young age. For a long time, he wanted nothing more to follow in his mothers' hoofsteps and join the Wonderbolts himself, having a need for speed. However, when he discovered music his passions quickly shifted. He still enjoyed pushing himself to his limits and zipping across the countryside, but he devoted less of his time to flying and more to all things electronic music. Now, he DJs for a living, spending his evenings at clubs giving other ponies the best beats to dance to, as well as making his own in his off time.

**Backstory:**
When Princess Luna revealed that she was pregnant, it was quite the scandal across Equestria. Speculation and rumors ran rampant about who her lover might be, but she refused to say, even after the foal was born. Baby Lucifer quickly wormed his way into the hearts of everyone at the castle, and Luna had no issues raising her son by herself. Being the first and oldest child of the ruling sisters, Lucifer was spoiled and given everything he could want. He became very selfish and greedy due to this, and no scoldings or punishments were ever able to really correct him. From a young age, he showed an aptitude for astronomy and a keen interest in the stars, but while everyone believed that would become his talent, he never got his cutiemark. Hearing the whispers and rumors about this throughout the castle riled Lucifer up to no end, and he became rather bitter as he neared adulthood—long past the time everyone else had earned their cutiemark. His attitude and behaviors worsened, until an explosive argument with his mother and aunt drove him from the castle entirely. He was never officially disowned, but he considered himself an exile anyways and vowed to never return to Canterlot. He never found a place to consider home after that, wandering and investing himself in the stars he cared so greatly for.
