An older version of my OC where she has shorter, dyed hair. I still like this. I'm thinking that this is later in the timeline than the version with her longer, dark hair.

First upload here. Ignore the date in the title, that's just the result of the file naming convention I use for my art. Date reflects the day I finished it.

I've been having a hard time getting any followers or likes or anything on any of my art. Not on this site. My account is too new. Everyone's is. A lot of us ran here after... events lol. So I'm not trying to lay blame or anything like that.

I know numbers aren't the point and that I should just love to make for the sake of making, but it can be really hard. Especially because I do make my stuff so I can share it. I want it to make people happy to see it the way it made me happy to make it.

But it's discouraging sometimes.

Sometimes the complete lack of interaction is crushing in a way you don't expect it to be. It makes me want to quit sometimes. Like, I'll look back at my art and think... maybe it's just not good enough for anyone to care yet.

This month I've been working on NaNoWriMo and that's been fun. A refreshing break tbh.

If my art isn't good enough... I guess, once I'm done writing this book, I'll just get back on that art grind and make it better than it already is. Make my stuff something people will actually want to look at.

Like, I know no one owes me likes... but I want to try and earn them anyway.

Reika, my primary OC again. She's a vampire/succubus in a cyberpunk setting I've been developing for a while now. Most of my writing/NaNoWriMo projects have her in them in some capacity, either as the direct protagonist or as a friend to the protagonists.

Anyway, this piece was an experiment in perspective for me. I didn't quite nail it, but I learned a lot. Gonna try it again soon I think.

I'm neuroknives, aka exweis, aka .ex//weis. Like many of you I found this place as a result of what's going on with other sites and how they're treating artists. I mostly draw my OC, Reika, as well as architecture. My goal is to find a suitably cyberpunk style that I can make a comic in one day. I plan on doing lots of art of my OC, as well as fanart and trends here. Maybe even some comissions in the near future if I can get myself into the headspace for that. Follow me if you like cyberpunk, vampire, succubi, horror vibes, and anime and manga.

It's been a minute. I did NaNoWriMo last month so I was pretty focused on that project and didn't get a lot of drawing done. I did a sketch that ended up becoming this, which I did share, but apart from that not a lot else.

I know front facing portraits are non-dynamic and uninteresting, but I needed to do this as part of a redesign experiment for my OC, Reika. Hopefully I get back on a more consistent art posting schedule soon. :3

Switched my account to 18+ just to upload this. I don't ever plan on doing anything too explicit, but sometimes I do like to do pinups and sexy outfits. Better to be safe than sorry.

Anyway, I saw this batkini trend over on the cursed bird a couple months ago and then decided to draw Reika in it. I did it much too late and so it probably wasn't relevant enough for anyone to care, but I do think it came out alright.

A pinup/rain filter animation test I did to see what making content specifically for instagram's reels would be like. Originally it was just the static image and I tried putting a pre-made filter over it, but wasn't satisfied with it. So I used it as an excuse to try and teach myself how to use Clip Studio Paint's animation tools. I think it came out alright! Even if I'm not wholly satisfied with the complete piece (Reika's ***** are too big here lol)
