A lot happened with Ophelie: her childhood was filled with play, laughter and love, but it couldn't last forever. Loosing their parents early, she needed to leave their home behind with her younger brother Gideon at her side, heading into the unknown, choosing new lands as their destination. Once they arrived there, Gideon left his sister alone, staying choosing in this new country where life promised wealth and fortune - but Ophelie did not break when they left their parents behind and did not break now either. Cracked, yes, but never broken. She can fall, but finds her feet again, she can bleed, but with time, she heals. She is a mare who looks forward, still managed to preserve her gentle soul, the will to love. She is not loud, but found her footing and and stays standing, doesn't matter what life throws at her.

I really fell in love with Ophelie as soon as I read her backstory - she is not someone who looks for attention, but she is a strong mare who is facing everything and anything and nothing can stop her. She can be hurt, she can feel pain, but she cannot be destroyed.

A new Tarot card is done! Sintra was an interesting challenge: she is a lovely, mostly transparent OC with glowing bones. I had some unseen problematic questions to answer that I did not think before when I drew this pose, such as:

- What happens when you put a transparent horse in strong green light?
- The glowing bones will overlap the face.
- How the spine goes in such position?

And soon enough all of these questions knocked on my door, making the time spent on this card twice as much as I thought I will need. But that is a good thing, that means the piece is challening me and that means learning. The owner and I worked together, asked how much modification Sintra can take and eventually the card was done :3 I really like how she turned out, so vivid :D

Super late entry for the 5th day, but I don't care :D This bad boi took me some days to finish, but I absolutely love the outcome! Totally worth it, even though sometimes I really wanted to send it with express mail to hell.

I am enjoying this art nouveou-ish card style so much - I rather bent it toward a more painterly and complex version and oh god, the decoration? The lineart???? Days, it took me days. But I don't care, I am seriously thinking about opening up some commission slots for this type of art, so hit me if you are interesed!

I am still picking up some Febroary days to make art of, I already has the next victim in line :P :D

Always wanted to draw a space cat sometime, but before I couldn't draw and now ever since I am heavily into big cat sketches though why not. I can get my sketchy space cat, my study and my fun piece at the same time. Was thinking about adding the fur details - i have to get into fur as well - but not today, I am way too lazy for that.

Inspired by the lovely TamberElla, I think that is kinda obvious :) And now I am super tempted to paint space themed tarot cards.

PS.: I have the feeling when Frida feels like big cat, this is how she is hanging out in her realm creating stars as a catto xD

OMG this piece killed me. I had a ref for this pose, because I felt I will need it and after the sketch part I just... ignored my ref, winged the anatomy as much as I could and I fucked it up of course, so had to redo some parts. A lesson I cannot learn enough times apparently. Anyway, I don't beat myself up a lot over it, bc these are practice pieces and the point of to learn from them, not to create absolute perfection. Plus I love this one anyway! Because it is Céleste and she is an angry ******* and I think this pose just fits her.

Callisto has an amazing blue coat, but blue for some reasons is so fucking confusing for me to paint. Idk why, it is not so different from purple - and that is basically Tulip. Never had a problem with Tulip. Maybe I just painted him more times. Also Callisto has a light blue to dark blue transition added to my confusion and the boa shine on top of that... but this was a great experience! Tricky angle, tricky colour, still managed to produce something, so great times :3

Time to move onto my Secret Santa pieces or else I won't be done in time...

A finished DTIYS piece that happens at Instagram atm, but ever since IG banned my account, I cannot send it in properly. shrug But it was 90% done, so why not finish it and upload it.

Hello People of Inkblot!

I finally managed to find my way to this site, thanks to a kind user who sent me an invite code :3 Ever since dA is dying and apparently I just lost my IG account - and I refuse to go back there - I am (and I think the art community as well) in a dire need of an artist-friendly place that supports the community and is not about the algorithm and posting every day and pressure to make content, but recognises art takes time and inspiration to be made. And as far as I heard Inkblot is exactly what we need! I am really hoping this site will thrive and I will find my place here :3 I need an art place to call home.

So tell me, how are you doing here? Is Inkblot everything we hoped for? :3 What are your experiences? I am the new kid on the block and I need to know if it is worth getting my hopes up.

BTW is this like a personal blog kind of blog or...? Because all the post options are acting like I am uploading an art piece.
