Here's my tribute to the best boi. I always had a problem with coloring night scenes. At one hand I wanted to get a realistic blue tint, bit in the other I could resist from giving the character a peachy blush. It would always end up looking like some ugly mud. This pic is from almost a year ago but I still consider it a decent level. That's when I started to really hink about my style and took some time to look for tips.
The character is one of my main OCs and at some point he goes through a corruption arc. He gets possessed by a shadow god, his eyes turn black and he loses control. In this pic I wanted to refresh one of my old character's look. He's a villain in the story and his origin has a lot to do with his look. In the world he comes from the sky is red. The people locked themselves down and what they fear the most are other worlds and the possible threat they are. His hair, eyes and horns are red. He's announced to be a cursed child and the "threat from the skies". In the end he fulfills the prophecy.In this pic I wanted to refresh one of my old character's look. I am back after few months. Hopefully now I will stay for longer. The app would crash on my older phone and was basically unusable. Now I have a better device so hope it will work better.
This artwork is a culmination of many emotions and things I had in my head for a long time. The idea needed to evolve. I changed the concept few times and even had to start drawing over again. In the beginning it was supposed to be more of a pastel horror. In the mean time I got some new inspirations and ended up with the current result.I am back after few months. This piece was made for a contest hosted by a clothing brand. I didn't win any prize, but i'm still liking the pic. The contest theme was an "Animal Album" so i went for a very stylized look. I believe art is about learning theory, and then breaking it and bending into own style. I used black color for shading here, which can be considered incorrect, but i did it intentionally. After a long drawing process finally it's done. I put all my energy and feelings into it, and every moment was worth it. My inspiration was the in-game painting of a boy. I thought "what if it was now?" Also I like the visual look of the "disruption" status effect so I used it here. It was done before I finished my first run so I didn't know the full story. But in the end I think it was the right choice.After a long drawing process finally it's done. I put all my energy and feelings into it, and every moment was worth it. Here comes the other side of the painting. This one is directly based on what happens to the painting as the story goes on. I was wondering if he should have the mechanical arm here because I REALLY didn't want to draw another hand.
