This was a different one from paining class - the idea here was to use a painting knife for the trees... using watercolor, which is kind of odd. Not really sure I was successful because I ended up painting over most of them again with a brush. 11" X 14"

Paul Simonon from The Clash. I thought this would be cool to draw with all the light rays and stuff, but it took a long time to shade everything around it and that was hard on the paper so the scanner had to chew it up too... NEVER AGAIN. lol

So this was Final Fantasy fanart time again! One thing that comes off a little odd with this pose is it makes Squall look left handed, but if you ignore it, it looked better that way lol. The scanner was still being really weird with pencil drawings too...

Well this is one of my older drawings that fell victim to the 'green tint' of a scanner.
Ray Davies of The Kinks, and the border here was referenced from the cover of their "Something Else" album. From here on, I 'd say I have worked out most of the problems I'd had with drawing portraits.

Finally a change of subject, a car! Added some contrast to this and cleaned it up a bit to make it stand out.

This was a bigger than usual (maybe A3 size?) drawing so I had to take a picture of it and it's not the best quality. Still tried to touch it up a bit though.

A drawing of John Taylor from Duran Duran playing bass. I didn't like this one as much when I made it, I guess because it has a more cartoonish look to it.

Another painting I done in painting class. This was a little more abstract with the colors but turned out well. 8"x10"

Alright, finally some noticeable improvment here. Mostly because instead of trying to race my way through something, I actually chipped away at this for about 10 months. That and it is still the largest drawing I've ever done.
However, it was worth it since I was able to take it to a concert and saw the reaction it got from John Taylor himself.

This was another painting started in a painting class. I painted this a little different though, layering watercolor by painting on top of paint instead of mixing everything. The white parts were scratched off. 11"x14" Originally posted to DeviantArt Sept. 4th, 2017This was another painting started in a painting class.
