It is no secret that I love art nouveau and the art style of kelogsloops
While I do neither justice, it was fun to make!
I had many leaves leftover from my cover of the comic so I wanted to use them before I just let them be covered in dust in some corner of my room. I had the amazing JookpubStock for a reference and made this little lovely thing. I had no grand plan, just didn't wanna waste the background paper for the cover and the leaves. Plus I was able to use the golden watercolor here for the skull which was reeeeally fun.
please consider supporting me and my comic on patreon

Kathy handed the book with the lock to John and winked at him.
"Do read it in private. I wish you a happy birthday, sheriff", the ogress nods at him and wandered off. As tall as she was, she had a certain grace to her, John always noticed and while he'd never openly admit it, he loved her deeply.
After the kids were finally deep asleep, he locked his door and drew his curtains. What could be in this book that warranted a lock, he wondered. He sat down onto his rocking chair and opened the leather bound tome. A photograph of Kathy in one of her more eloquent dresses leaned onto her elbow, staring at him hungrily. He had seen this look many a time and it has almost always ended in the horizontal.
He smiled at this sepia toned picture and flipped the page. With each page she removed more and more clothes and suddenly slapped the book close when he heard a knock at his door.
"Papa? I can't sleep", Patty meek voice came through the door and an embarrassed John hastily closed the book with the key still in its hole.

This is a sketch I did at work after seeing historical fashion photos and I loved the pose. The story is Vic's and will hopefully one day be a virtual novel, and if you haven't figured already, a 18+ kind. I am personally not much into Western but my hubs is a good story teller. So sometimes I can't help and sketch one thing or the other just to visualize his vision.

I recently got a huge haul of craft and painting supplies from a man who was bringing his elderly mom to a nursery home. It was getting too much and she has severe Alzheimers, and everyone who has ever had a run in with the illness knows how bad it can get. While working through all the stuff I got from this lovely woman I felt I was looking into a mirror: She had tried to many things, so many different hobbies that she was fairly good at (had some half finished project and paintings among them). It made me feel sad that this woman is slowly but surely forgetting who she is, what she was capable of.
I like to be on the safer side of things. I don't wanna waste paint or paper or any material and am frequently scared to even start doing a project coz of that. Thinking of her, I try to kick myself more in the bum and just do it. Worst case I'll learn something new if the finished piece doesn't look like I wanted it to be.
Don't look back, just take each day and do whatever you feel like.
This acrylic painting was done on one of the acrylic boards I got from her, I used some of her brushes and some of her paint. I loved the experience.
But I need to practice more. A lot more. ^^;I recently got a huge haul of craft and painting supplies from a man who was bringing his elderly mom to a nursery home. a piece I did when I was painting with watercolors outdoors. Kind of forces you to have your colors more muted and I really like the result~~a piece I did when I was painting with watercolors outdoors. The title says it all :D I followed a tutorial on Youtube and it was interesting to say the least ^^; I'm not good at drawing trees that's for sure. The randomness of nature is really a thing to behold.

Oh boy this one was a doozy. This is mainly watercolor with some acrylics and this grew out of a small idea into this many layered piece that you can actually download and print out to make yourself. If you are a patreon of mine at least. www.patreon.com/studioalsar is the place to go.
I prepped a small video for this because just one picture of this is not doing it justice! youtu.be/bPiITwbUoQgOh boy this one was a doozy. "Oh how I wished she knew!
She knew how tight I could hold her.
How I could protect her.
How I could make her laugh.
How I could just love her"
Aurelius was lost in thoughts and lingered on the love bit with his thoughts wandering into the not quite gentelmanly parts of his minds.
"Yes, I could love her."

as creepy as this might sound, he'd ~never~ do anything of the sort without consent but a person can dream. Can they not?
