Little doodle I did of Cobalt’s costume for the Team Skull Halloween party! They’re dressed as a Ribombee!

My OC Cobalt from my comic Skeleton Crew with their Pokémon team! I experimented with a different style for this piece that I didn't end up liking very much.

Cobalt was born in the Galar Region and grew up in Ballonlea. When they started their Pokémon journey they were given a Shiny Eevee as their first Pokémon. They loved him more than anything and when he evolved into a Sylveon Cobalt gave him the name Sylvester.

The first Pokémon they _caught_ was a Galarian Ponyta in the Glimwood Tangle, which they named Cotton Candy, or Cece.
They traveled the region, caught a Noibat in one of the Galarian mines and named him Noisy because of how talkative he was.

Unfortunately while on their way home for a visit they passed through Stow-On-Side and were attacked, yanked into an alley and assaulted by Chairman Rose. During the assault he choked them so hard he caused permanent damage to their larynx. Luckily they were saved by a Mimikyu, who chased off Rose and found help for Cobalt. Cobalt kept the Mimikyu and named him Prince for being their rescuer.

After what happened they decided they wanted a fresh start, took their savings and moved to the faraway island chain of Alola. Sadly because of their injury they lost the ability to speak clearly and were only able to communicate effectively through Sign Language, which made finding work especially difficult.

While looking for a job on Akala Island they caught a Salandit, which they named Pluto (short for Plutonium). When they made their way to Ula'ula Island they were running out of options for work and while leaving a Pokémon Center in a huff they ran (quite literally) into Guzma, who was out doing community service with a couple of his grunts.

Over time the two became involved and Guzma gave Cobalt a Shiny Cutiefly he had rescued as a gift. Cobalt named her Ribbon.

Cobalt now lives in Po Town and is dating Guzma.

The entirety of Team Skull has _maybe_ 3 brain cells and Plumeria almost always has them all. But in defense of Guzma and Cobalt, they've probably never seen those vegetables before. They grew up in Alola and Galar respectively and if I remember correctly there are no items that resemble broccoli or cauliflower there lol.

Cobalt has a larynx injury that makes it very difficult for them to talk so they primarily communicate through ASL. My version of Plumeria is Deaf and her hearing aids are based off Audino!

As a note, I'm teaching myself ASL and I'm doing my best, but if anyone sees any ASL errors in my work, please let me know so I can correct them!

Also I made Plumeria a black woman because I think she looks good like that.

Ve is a College of Eloquence bard who loves puns as much as vey hate shoes. Ve also has a deep fondness for alliteration which leads to ver uttering sentences like, “Forgive me if I fumble but I fail to fathom your foolishness!”

Avery is a Slasher known as Snickerdoodle and Daisy is his girlfriend who works as a clown.

(Please note, the knife he is holding is not being used to threaten Daisy, he's just holding it. Avery would never threaten or hurt Daisy.)
