  • Brooding, edgy demi-god with existential issues. His eyes are a trademark trait of the Immortals (ethereal beast-like creatures) in his world. He's the first of his kind, being part human.

His story is something is part of an original project I'm working on. It's a story-driven, action-heavy, and existential sci-fi/fantasy concept; looking forward to expanding on it more. <3

  • I feel much more inclined, and less anxious at that, to comment on someone's artwork here. Does anyone else feel like Twitter and other social media have this imposing energy- even when you just want to say something nice about some art?

  • These are the three main characters in my story. Will be making proper character sheets/references for them eventually. Read futher if you would like to learn more about them individually.

    ---

**Ambrosia "Ambrose" | Divine Priest** (left)

A dignified and altruistic young man–with divinity as his birthright, Ambrose (left) makes use of his gifts to mediate the emotions of people and the divine creatures of their world. He bestows his divinity upon his people in innovative ways by merging celestial properties with human sciences.

    **Lucius** (middle)

Under the authority of the Praes, Lucius is the presiding bodyguard for Ambrose and Rhea–the oracles. He inherited his powers from the Immortals, as opposed to the oracles themselves, whose divinity is ceremoniously gifted to them.

**Rhiannon "Rhea" | Divine Priestess** (right)

Rhea is the studious and reclusive oracle, unyielding compared to her neighborly twin brother. Folks rarely see her outside of ceremonial affairs, as most of her responsibilities keep her home.

  • ****"The Immortals remain wary; however they rely on us as much as we do them."****

Ambrose is a divine priest responsible for mediating the relationship between his people and the gods of their world. It's a stressful job.

  • Are there any freelancers out there who might be willing to offer their wisdom to someone who is just starting out?

I’m Lopez, and I recently started marketing myself as a freelance illustrator at conventions and expos. I was approached by a potential client to be considered for their project--nothing that's been established (but exciting nonetheless). We've exchanged a few emails, and I feel like I have mostly everything prepared. I've done a lot of research, but there still sits some anxiety that perhaps an account of firsthand experience would quell.

I know InkBlot may not best platform to pose this question. However I've noticed a handful of freelancers and professionals migrating over, and I'm crossing my fingers that _someone_ might see this.

Right, so my biggest concern is about licensing and distribution rights. Being entry-level I've set my rate at $30/hr. Hypothetically speaking, would I increase the rate itself to account for licensing or charge a percentage fee from an estimated quote/final quote? What are acceptable percentages for varying levels of distribution rights? Alternatively when or where is "work for hire" to be considered?

Any personal accounts, articles, videos, or other resources on the subject would be very appreciated!

  • In this world, wrathful deities have cut ties with humanity. The oracles intercede in attempts to regain mutualism, yet relations fade further away as their kinship continues to devolve.

  • Oh boy! My first post on InkBlot. Hi, I'm Lopez and I LOVE drawing ocs. Seeing other artists' characters and how much they mean to them is a real treat. I don't often draw such full illustrations for others, but I try to go all out over the summer when art fight fight month rolls around. These are all of my attacks from last year's Art Fight.

  • Papa Geo--and the rest of the archons are on the way. Only Venti and Zhongli are finished. (You can get them as prints! [inprnt.com/gallery/dozlopezart](inprnt.com/gallery/dozlopezart)). I'm currently working on Raiden and will move on to Nahida once I play Sumeru.
