Another extremely old commission. If I recall correctly this was commissioned before the episode that introduced Discord had actually aired.

My panel for the second issue of [STC: Reillustrated](https://www.tumblr.com/doodlebless/704097635799384064/sonic-the-comic-reillistrated-from-issue-8-the), this time featuring The Origin of Sonic! The original panel was just an explosion, but this is meant to be the moment in StC where Dr Kintobor is transformed into Robotnik, so I really wanted to try pushing a horror aspect. I've never done horror like this before and I took a lot of inspiration from Junji Ito and Will Burke. I also used [Rebelle](https://www.dpbolvw.net/click-100757127-14328925), which is a program I don't have much experience with, to simulate the look of traditional watercolors in combination with [Clip Studio](https://www.tkqlhce.com/click-100757127-14340842) for the lighting effects on the emeralds. This was a HIGHLY experimental piece that was a lot of fun and I might do more art like this in the future.
