Gonna try and make more of habbit to be roam around IB over rotting my brain on Twitter but its so hard... While I don't have a full on social media addiction or am chronically online as much as others, it is still scary that at time my brain will just autopilot write in twitter's URL... While I know that a lot of people use Twitter for work (myself included) no website should have people hooked like that...

I'm new to Inkblot and I love making art of my OCs and I'm interested to see how I can customize posts here and maybe post some lore bits about my OCs. Just bought Light Bringer by Pierce Brown and I'm so excited! I binged all of the Red Rising series during quarantine and I'm so stoked to see how all my babies are doing!

So I think I'm gonna give up on Twitter. I don't post often enough to keep engagement high and it's starting to affect my mental health, not in a "I'm not good enough" or "I'm useless, this is all my fault" kinda way but I'm starting to ask myself "what is even the point?". Because of where I live getting paid online is unnessarily difficult (Paypal doesn't like my country, #3rd world country problems) so why am I beating myself up to market my skills to an international audience when getting paid through anything that isn't a wire transfer is going to be a pain in the ass? I don't know, maybe I'm just really butt hurt right now but it's so exhausting...

It's been a hot minute! Went through tons of intense burn out, had my tablet die and couldn't replace it for 6+ months I'm back baby~! So ofcourse one of the first things I draw is my darling Iron Bull

Re-Uploading some older pieces.

Went searching for an old sketchbook I wanna reuse for my anatomy and gesture drawing practice and decided I'd go through ALL of my old sketchbooks and I'm so glad I did. It's honetly sweet to see how my OC babies have grown over the years and even being able to see an old drawing of them, even if they're name was different or their aesthetics are different, it's been heartwarming being able to know "this is when my brain baby was born!". There is so much gold in these books and I didn't even know it. I might even revive some of these concepts/sketches and jump into reworking them and making them into finished paintings! I've also come across some dialogue I wrote between my OCs and I'm cackling and their banter. Highly reccomend looking through your old sketches if you got em, especially if you're feeling down! I've been having a hard time mentally when it comes to art. I love my style and I'm ok with where my skills are at right now. It's just that my relationship with art have changed, the stress of trying to make a living from art, all this AI and NFT crap, the direspect artists get on the daily (both freelance and industry); it's been extremely emotionally taxing. It's so refreshing to looking through a bunch of sketches made with love during the years when I shamelessly loved drawing and making art. I hope I can find that feeling again.
