A painting done with acrylic and watercolor on canvas depicting an artist's hand feeding a red-eared slider turtle a piece of cucumber. The hand is covered in paint splotches that match the colours of the turtle and the swirling purple and blue background paired with vibrant colours give the painting a feel of a dream or memory.
Gaining the trust of such a skittish animal to a point where one is able to feed them by hand is truly a magical experience and unlike anything I've experienced before.A painting done with acrylic and watercolor on canvas depicting an artist's hand feeding a red-eared slider turtle a piece of cucumber. Happy pride month everyone!!! I've been inactive for some time but I promise I'll make sure the wait was worth it! I've put a ton of work into prepping this year as I've secured my first ever vendor spot and want to make sure I make it the best I can, which means lots of new content for you

Idk what happened, I was excited to work on my painting and then my entire life kinda just fell apart overnight. Picking up the pieces now so I should actually get to stick around this time, the worst is over (knock on wood but it literally cannot get worse than it was). My commissions are reopened, I'm still not doing physical commissions until I am able to find a new place to live. I have a few things scheduled to upload today and added a spooky season ych to make up for my absence. Hope everyone else is faring better than I ♡Idk what happened, I was excited to work on my painting and then my entire life kinda just fell apart overnight. Promise I'm alive, apologies for the absence. Been a crazy month and I have been in survival mode for half of it, art hasn't been a priority.
Starting a nice big painting project to chip away at that Ko-Fi members get behind the scenes on, giving this one my all and aiming for my best work yet. Final will ofc be posted here whenever I finish it (definitely before the end of the year).

Over the course of the past 5 years I have worked hard to improve my art and try to offer quick turnaround times for clients! I'm really proud of the progress I've made, but I have had to repeatedly take several month breaks from my work due to my health.
It has recently come to my attention (yay for doctors finally listening!) that a solid chunk of my symptoms are going to be lifelong. Which sucks, but I was kind of expecting it. So I am now at a point where I need to begin thinking about what that means for my art.
I'm not quitting. I don't think I ever could. I love creating art and showing off my work to the world, it's my main form of self expression! But I do think I may have to be more realistic with myself about turnaround times and taking breaks from work entirely.
I'm going to work on a plan for this over the course of the next week that'll detail expected TATs going forward, times of year my commissions will be closed, and other accommodations I can think of that I may need. I'm super aware that this is probably going to affect how many people will be willing to commission me and am trying to come up with something to compensate for that as well. This overall plan will be posted on my socials (including here!) and my Ko-Fi as soon as I have it all drawn up.
I'm working very closely with my doctors and mental health team to try to function as best I can, but I need to start listening to my body and adjusting my work availability accordingly. This is unfortunately not something I can pretend doesn't exist anymore, as much as I would love to.
In the future, my TATs may become less or more as I work with my doctors and my condition progresses/receives treatment. All updates will be initially posted to Ko-Fi, with social media posts coming as I remember to make them after. If a change is made during an active commission I will do my best to honor the earliest given TAT, but may require more time depending on the circumstances.

Felt like making something cute today as opposed to my usual dark cyberpunk stuff, introducing Astra! She's a charmie crystal dragon
Her colour palette is based off red velvet cheesecake and she's filled with strawberry milk tea, konpeito, and gummy guts!
I'll be making another that fits my usual art aesthetic soon!
The base I used as well as the species itself are by Dracononite, you can find more info on the species [here](https://toyhou.se/~world/53278.charmie-central).Felt like making something cute today as opposed to my usual dark cyberpunk stuff, introducing Astra! Figuring out that there's a social that makes it super easy to find artists and open comms is probably the most exciting part of my day.
There's so many cool and insanely talented artists on here already and the community has such kind and welcoming vibes, I'm glad I decided to make the transition over hereFiguring out that there's a social that makes it super easy to find artists and open comms is probably the most exciting part of my day.
