A class exercise! We were leaning how to do in washes in class the other day before we used it for our main pieces. I really like how this one turned out!

Its a bit strange using ink—I don’t do much traditional work anymore and I kind of miss it.

Hey guys, I'm Callie! I've been looking for an alternative to DeviantArt for a while, and recent events really lit a bit of a fire under my butt to find somewhere else to land. I've been fuming for a few hours about what they're doing, but ultimately I think that this could be a good thing--to break up the monolith and create smaller, more tight nit, and niche spaces. It can give a lot of people more room to grow into their spaces, rather than being constantly lost in the never ending loop of some of the bigger social media outlets!

I'm a comics/storyboard artist and writer. I'd like to do some short and long form comics at some point and I'm currently working on building up a new style and leaning into some of the darker aspects of my work. I love my more bright and vibrant work, but there's something so fun about working with darker material, so I'd like to do more of it!

I'm looking forward to my time here with everyone!

I'll admit, I don't do a lot of fan art. But! I was feeling inspired a few weeks ago. I've been following Lore Olympus for quite a while and its probably one of the few webtoons that I've read consistently in recent months. I loved the dream sequence from a few chapters ago, so I pulled some of the elements from there, and then pulled the costumes and designs from various older chatpers.

Yet another school assignment! We had to design a poster--and that's essentially it. It needed to have text on it, but other than that we had a huge amount of freedom. I chose to do a horror story night for halloween!

Some class work from a few months ago! I used to really hate backgrounds but they've definitely grown on me.

An assignment for my cartooning class! I've been surprised at how much of my classwork I've actually liked the final results for the quarter--I've definitely had classes where I hated everything that I've made, but I've got a lot of freedom in my current classes.

(I haven't been able to stop drawing diner style milkshakes since)

This is an old one from my old DA account. I don't draw Sonic stuff much at all anymore, but it was fun to redo this one. Also, I'm not saying that this wasn't meant to be a fan-child but also it was totally meant to be a fan-child because I'm a shipper from way back.

I made the first one when I was 11, with either a mouse or _maybe_ my first drawing tablet? I don't really remember either way. I DO remember that I used a base for it--little me couldn't function without them. The second one was two years later and it was one of the first things I did digitally without a base (it only took me two years lmao). The last one is from earlier this year, when I stumbled across the other two on my laptop. Other than this one its probably been several years since I drew something Sonic related.

Sonic is one of those things that will probably always hold a special place in my heart--Hero's was my first video game and I watched X like 10 times all the way through as a kid. It's also what got me into drawing! It was really fun to revisit, even if I likely won't draw much else Sonic related save for the occasional revisit.

Some characters from (another) abandoned short story. I came up with them for a webtoon’s contest a few years ago, but I never got around to finishing it so it got left in the scrap bin. I really love the characters though so I redeisigned these three.

I may come back to this story at some point since I see some potential in the concept, but some of the main plot points have become part of one of my main stories so I’d have to give it some thought.

This one was another school assignment from a few quarters ago. We had nine panels to tell a story only using silhouettes! I was a bit strange to work on, but it really helped with my understanding of silhouettes!
