Wonder Woman

I mostly did this sketch to experiment with foreground objects. In this case, some fern-like plants. The leaves didn't come out quite how I wanted but leaves aren't perfectly symmetrical anyways. The butterflies were a last minute addition, as I had no other ideas for what I could fill the large empty spaces with. I do wish I had waited to ink this until I was more awake, but I still had a lot of fun with this, and I actually love the result.

Freaks, weirdos, people out of the norm, gather round. These past few years have without a doubt been tough on all of us, so I invite all of you to let go of the pains weighing you down, at least for tonight. Put all your pains, your worries, your aches, down just for tonight. You can pick them back up and deal with them later.

And invite healthy new beginnings inside.

Change is scary, but if you have a good support group, go forward with shaky steps.

My favorite quote that I like to recite from time to time is from Martin Luther King Jr; "“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

I don't have new years resolutions, I can never stick to them, but I do want to do tarot pulls more often, get back to learning German, get better at drawing and writing.
