  • This is my Terraria OC: Dez the Lamia! Pre-hardmode. I wanted to celebrate the game, and do several more as she progressed through the game. This is going to be fun hehe.

I've since adapted her into a slightly new version and started a side webcomic just with her! I have lots of ideas with this one.

  • First sidecomic of my Terraria series featuring the new version of Dez the Lamia! I really liked how this turned out-and I had a really interesting story idea for this one. Terraria is another favorite game I want to celebrate, having spent 1500+ hours, but never really 'finished' because of restarting with mods and long breaks! Bleh! One of these days I will finish the game!

    Story:
When you start out, you have nothing... except a friendly Guide NPC. As many stories go, friendships deepen and grow into something more, especially with the bonding over terrible struggles. Love blossoms. But in this world, the Guide knew a truth: "To save the world, plunge it into darkness". In order for the player to progress through the game into Hardmode, you have to fight the Wall of Flesh in the Underworld. To summon that monstrocity, you have to cast a voodoo doll of the Guide into lava... sacrificing him.

In my version of the story, the Guide was a player who realized this truth: to fight great evil, a sacrifice would be needed. He realized he couldn't bring forth this evil without someone to fight it, and he certainly wasn't about to sacrifice an innocent to do this himself. So, he chose to be the sacrifice and help another hero take on the evil. He didn't expect to fall in love though, and couldn't bare to tell her the truth until there was no turning back.

There will be a part 2 to this!

  • First complete digital (photoshop CS6 with pen tablet) piece I accomplished! Before this one, I'd hardly even tried to put backgrounds into my works... but despite how easy this one was (as I look back now) it made a huge difference! Growing as an artist is a lot of fun-and looking back can be quite helpful!

I will be redoing this one at a later date, too. Lots of techniques and such to try out in a new version. Really lookin forward to that. Not only still one of my favorites ever, but this remains one of my better works heh. If I could stop gaming and win the lotto, I could do this full time... just like I'm sure we all dream ;)

  • Wanted to finally get some basic art of the city done. I'd spent a year or so in a Minecraft mod building out a version of the city, but the server died and was unrecoverable. At least I had screen shots heh. So now I'm just going to do these kinds of things for the city! It will be a series eventually as well.

  • Alright!!! Only a few hours left in 2022, so... here is my very first annual Art Summary for the year! This was VERY interesting for me; motivational, yet also helps remind me of what still waits for my attention heh.

  • Concept piece done for Zar (Qual Dispal race), owner of the Salty Tang smithy in Alabandrin. While not humanoid, this great serpent has six tentacles of dense muscle on its back he uses to not only run his smithy, but to actually perform his tasks. He isn't well suited for traditional forging of metals, but he has a lot of other talents for the craft. What he lacks in that specific area he makes up for by hiring handfuls of forge apprentice.

  • This was a fun piece I put together for the Samus Frame work I did, showing slats of progress in four different progression phases. I thought this kind of thing would be a fantastic teaser for such pieces hehe.

  • Finally finished!!!! This Samus Warframe piece is a mashup between two of my favorite games! I grew up on the Metroid series, and I've come to really enjoy Warframe as well! I wanted to make a tribute to them, and finally found a great idea. The Warframe elements are utilizing the Operator form (Samus in blue) and the Hildryn Warframe (orange suit), along with three of the many companions (four legged Kubrow and Kvats). The setting is on Deimos, an infested area home to the Entrati family who's six glowing crests adorn the top of the runed pillar door. The Metroid elements include the Chozo runed statue, door bust, morph ball track and door on the left, Chozo golden boss statue with four of the Warframe villains with gemstoned eyes, and Samus's iconic "S" sigil on the door.

This was an absolute joy to do-and while it took a good while to accomplish, every bit of it was a great deal of fun!

This fanart mashup is the first of many :)

  • (okay, this is the 0001, previous was 0000... whatever) Stellaris! I love this game! Currently 1766+ hours thanks to mods lol. I have a couple of "those" moments that were always really damn amusing, so that fit in well with comic practice. This one didn't quiiiite feel like the pane divisions worked out very well.... but that's why we practice.

So, yeah-science ship comes up to a world locked beyind a failing energy shield. Apparently, whoever locked the species in also trapped them in a time loop >< We had a choice, and we chose to help "save" them by breaking the shield and lettin em out. Oops. We found out why they were locked away... hahahaha! Quite a shock when that happened, and it was early enough that they started to become quite a threat. Thankfully, with the assistance of a neighbor, we squashed em. But... man, what a pain.

Maybe the next one will cover the android pleasure palace.... LOL
