So I elected to do something a bit different that I don't normally like doing. Redrawing an older piece for comparison. A collection of pieces I've made revolving around the Myr race from 'Magic: The Gathering'. I've always had such a strange fascination with their initial design from the Mirrodin set back in 2003 when I first picked up the game in grade school. Seeing something in their simple designs and their adorable face, just made me fall in love with it.
I fully credit my interest and developing passions in art with these initial designs, spurring me onward to pursue the illustrations that I make today. So every now and again, I'll issue a challenge to my friends and other people on Twitter or on discord channels that I'm apart of. Send me a song and I'll create a character design based on the song and the type of feeling I get from it. These were Some of the highlights from the couple of times that I've run this challenge for myself.
