  • UVs are done!! Yaaaay!

My least favorite part, but definitely the most rewarding! I can finally toss this into Professional Creator for painting.

As I've gotten better at modeling, I've finally learned how to unwrap a simplified mesh that's using a subdivision modifier while keeping the UVs where I want them to be... I'm not sure how to better describe the problem without spending a lot of time making photos and vids to demonstrate it. The only technical bit I know about UVs is to keep an eye on where the UVs are scrunched up and small. Just make sure it's gonna be fine (it often is).

Next up is rigging, which I am fairly comfortable with. One day I'll learn advanced rigging techniques like creating controller "bones" and IK stuff.
