So I deleted all my art from late 2019 through today from DeviantArt, they’re getting ballsy with their theft and they will end up in a lawsuits. Stealing peoples work and selling it to hot topic, and now automatically opting your current and past art as a mandatory use in their AI banks, they even went as far as adding the artists user to the bank to get closest to that artists style. So if you take commissions, their AI bank will go past your ability to make money and make it for themselves and pay DA, completely bypassing your hard work and deserved prices.They got called out on their live discussion on twitter and tried to back track adding a button to opt all your art out of the banks but only after the call out of how that’s theft. They are a shameless company exploiting artist for their own gain.
InkBlot is so far really proving it’s self to be an incredible platform so far and can only hope they keep their senses as they grow, and not take advantage of artists like DA.
