Oh look - something to feed to my gallery finally and it is no longer empty! Anyway, hey howdy ho, how's life going downhill?
######
I admit, started drawing this character out of a stupid hyperfixation and didn't look back after that. Though I really like the design after not creating any new character designs for like... half a year. Honestly surprising how well it turned out.

One of my many... unused but still loved bought horse adopts I still own from one of my favorite creators from DeviantArt.

It's admittedly been a while since I've drawn horses, let alone shaded them, but I try my best to continue to improve. I tried the new method of shading too, trying more harder edges... but I think I'll need to spend more time softening things.

Quite proud of the piabald-ish markings on the neck and face, and the background! I think I'm getting somewhat of a grasp over background colors to make the character pop out more!

I'll be uploading newer things as I work for now, as I have too much of things to archive and upload, plus, my name has changed rather "recently"-ish, so my past works have a different watermark on them, and I'd like to avoid confusion.

Anyway - meet Juno, a 2024 revision of her past ref sheet!

It's been 3 long years since she got an update, and I'd like some of my characters to have a more fresh look to them for ArtFight this year, so, in the future, for a couple weeks at least I'll mostly be doing reference sheets.

I've started this piece weeks ago, but then turned to dispise it and hate it... but after a nasty night and several nightmares, I've decided to finish it up.

Sometimes art and drawing, even if traditionally or digitally, provides some kind of comfort for me. I don't know what it is - the silence, the process, or putting my all into one piece... or maybe seeing the progress in comparison to the past?

I also started this kind of "series" of artworks because of my Toyhouse folder directory needing some kind of "Head Artwork" - and so, I wanted to push myself a bit. Get some more detailed works out, practicing for the big ArtFight this July.

_"When does a character become the creator, and when does the creator become the character?"_

Sometimes, the line between my characters and myself blur. I put so much effort into every single one of them, and just a little piece of my own issues, my own personality and traits, that it sometimes scares me how well they reflect me.

But it also helped me, in a way, to accept myself, as I am. I'll never be perfect - and that's slowly turning to be okay. Sometimes I'll fail. Sometimes I'll succeed. And that's okay.

Emotional rants aside - I've been getting comfortable with a new shading method, using a new program, and as finally school is over and ArtFight approaches... I think I'm ready this year.
