  • Recently completed this YCH from a series, it was the last one of the batch and I'm glad I was able to sell them all and complete them all. Such wonderful and cute characters were presented for the Teacup set and overall, I'm super pleased and delighted <3

I have all the completed images (5 total) in the description of where I initally posted the YCH set on DA:

  • This year, I completed:
    - 118 illustrations - some I put into groups because they were a set of items or cheebs
    - 6 beast bases
    - 48 comic pages
    - 8 tutorials/tips
    - 4 timelapse videos

All of these can be found on my [sfw Patreon](https://www.patreon.com/parallelrift) with a handful floating over on Twitter and here at InkBlot. Lots of things were accomplished this year, some months had heavier work loads than others and I completed a good, decent amount of personal work this year as well. I will be stepping up my game for 2023, fixing my prices to more professional levels due to the quality of work I offer and my management of time to guarantee most commissions being finished within a week to a month after purchase. I rarely have faltered on this over the years with the exception that sometimes I had other things going on or some commissions had stricter deadlines so they had to be done first above others.

There wasn't a lot of game work this year. Some for Mythika-arpg (on DA) and some done for Eliyo.net. Overall, majority of the YCHs I presented did sell and I was able to save up to my goal amount by the time October 2022 came to light. Didn't do a lot of trades this year, just two, I think, but did 7 Secret Santas, so my December was definitely probably one of the busiest months. Joined a few new Discord servers so I can stay in contact with other artists. Only reached 1 Twitter Follower Raffle Goal this year, which was reaching 500 followers! I also entered a contest, to which I won an Honorable Mention. The most number of Patreon Patrons I had this year was 10 while it stayed at a near consistent 7 at least. My total income from artwork to Patreon this year was just over $3,000...which is still far too low to live off of, especially with the high economy right now.

Some of the downside things that have happened to me this year, just to get out of the way first, is that my FB account was hacked, no one was willing to legit help me, so lost the account and my Insta as that was attached to it. The initial hacking happened in early Oct. All they did was request a password reset and somehow got it without even having access to my email. Even when I said I had not requested such a thing, nothing was done. Even when I presented proof, nothing was done. I cannot afford an advocate so was basically forced to let the accounts go. It sucks because I have no clue what they did and all the things I had on those accounts are just gone forever now. We also had some car repair bills this year as the breaks went out and one of the tires wouldn't stop leaking air because they fixed the rims wrong when they went to rotate the tires >.> And of course, the entire theft and drama with socials and Ai right now is definitely not a good thing either.

Overall, I was also able to attend an anime con this year, one of the Trash Taste tour events, saw an orchestra, attended my first Pride celebration, and was able to attend the Renaissance Festival 3x this year. No animals had major vet bills this year. Mochi did get fixed and Kiwi had 2 ear infections, but for the infections, we were ready this time and had the medicine with us so we took care of it at home and she's all good. Elyza (cat) is at least 10+ years old, Mochi (cat) is 2, Kiwi (dog) is 5 and Onyx (dog) is 4 years of age. We've had to adjust everyone's food this year a couple times, especially with the cost of dog food having doubled...groceries for people right now has also nearly doubled in cost and I haven't seen this since I was like 10...didn't think I'd be living through it twice in my lifetime. We are saving what we can and plan for meals we can easily make and freeze while still remaining as healthy as we can be. December this year has also provided us with a white christmas for once with a good amount of snow that was about 1/4 of the way up my calf. Downside, the temperatures dropped to near extremes and froze the roads into a ice skating rink...so that was fun >.< As of this post, the snow is slowly starting to melt already, but the cold winds linger. Oh, and I also finally used some of that saved up money to update my office so it's more ergonomic...really badly needed it as the previous set up was uncomfortable and a bit problematic.

Thank you everyone and hope this 2023 is a bright year with Wins for creatives.
Stay safe, stay healthy, and wish all the best fortunes.

  • Already started gift revealing in the Anathema discord so I was more than delighted to present this to the recipient today, the 22nd, as I've had it done for over a week now and it's just been sitting there. That's probably the most nailbiting part of partaking in Secret Santas stuff is the waiting and hoping it'll be liked when you show it off.
Luckily, MisMantis loved their OC in my style and I couldn't be more delighted. Her name is Six and such an awesome character that I honestly couldn't wait to draw them.

For my Patreon Patrons, you can also view the [timelapse of this artwork](https://www.patreon.com/posts/mismantis-ss-76258707). I don't have any attached notes this time for it, but it has been awhile since I've posted a proper timelapse. I am also working on editing my videos a bit to hopefully make them a little more informative and maybe a bit more entertaining if I can so it's not just another speedpaint. We shall see how it goes though.

  • Wanted to make sure I completed an illustration this year for LÄ«go, the summer solstice festival featuring Fiacre, one of the main characters from my webcomic Parallel Rift.
I also just wanted to try out some new things in terms of coloring to see if I've learned anything further as of late. I feel that I have so I definitely look forward to what I try out next!
    Happy Līgo!!

  • Oh beast oh beast of silver and pain
Do you even remember, your once true name?
I heard it was beautiful, sparkling and pure
But now you grieve of silver with no cure

    -
This was for the arpg Anathema of my boy fighting a corrupted mage whose body has turned to liquid silver and black bone. Overall, I give myself points for composition and heck of a lot of points on that silver as I've never done liquid metal before and it was one flippin of a challenge! *pats self on back *
Anyway, I also hate this piece at the same time because I should've angled the monster better. The way it is now is dramatic yes, but details do get lost and I don't think I handled the lighting as well as I could have. I'm still also learning how to draw someone 'using' magic. Zarbaun, the warrior mage here, though he's great with a sword, he currently doesn't know how to channel his power into the sword to strike with it and use it like an arrow to make sure his lighting hits the target. Right now, his sword is often, more or less, a glorified lighting rod that stores lighting within the blade itself but he has to hold the sword and channel it through his body and then release it through his other, free hand...with next to zero for control. In the arpg world of Anathema...Zarbaun is very much still weak as dirt. He hopes to gain strength, but he also needs to discipline himself better so he's not just going ham wild like the boar he's often known to be.
ANYWAY, I at least gave this a good heave-ho but will try for a better composition next time. This monster is dying rather quickly so will probably have to try my battle tactics next time a mage is corrupted. Hopefully I'll have learned another thing or two by then as well.

  • Haven't posted in awhile, just been busy, especially with taxes right around the corner, but getting there slowly.
Here's some personal artwork of my character Zarbaun for the arpg Anathema. His power is lightning but he has to recharge it and the easiest way for him to do so is in storms. As a boar, this power is stored in his golden mane and in his scales, but as a humanoid, it's mostly stored in his sword and probably those fluffy golden locks of his. Sometimes you can even receive a small shock from simply standing too close to him if he hasn't used his power in a long time.

You can find more **[Wips of this piece on my Twitter](https://twitter.com/Aminirus0/status/1630392117997518850)** RTs are always appreciated! This is so far the first personal artwork of the year, excluding comic pages for Parallel Rift, and I'd say it's a nice start. With lower commission count this year, I'll be putting a lot more focus on Patren, my comic, and personal works. It may be slow at times, but that is the plan.

  • An old YCH commission from 2018 for Haechii from DA where I really started to push myself for realism and understanding things like fur and creating more real-like images. It wasn't perfect, still isn't but overall, despite the age of the illustration now, it is one of my favorites.
There are issues with anatomy here, especially in the face and I lacked understanding on bounce lighting or...well...how to properly light anything at that point. I do remember in 2018 was when I picked up the immense desire to simply try and be better! I was inspired to push myself, started things like DAB (albiet became frustrated, dropped it and picked up again in late 2019) and overall went hardcore in study mode because I wanted to understand what I was doing wrong. Even back then I could feel that though things often felt "cool" in what I did, I was not satisfied with them because they weren't reaching the level I desired.
However, that being said, this was and is probably one of my best, especially for before I took a deeper dive into studies. I still see many good things about this piece and still enjoy it to this day despite its imperfections and inaccuracies.

  • This is for @/a dream
    They're only Discord and TH

This was initially complete July 5th, 2022 for an Art Chain/Trade held in a discord group. Definitely turned out to be a very interesting character and overall Yana is purdy. Don't often get to work with these colors either, so it was a lot of fun!

  • A wintery equine completed for a Secret Santa back in 2020 for Falony!
This was one fo the first times I was testing a different style, mixing a bit of realistim with semi-realism. I think in this case, it had worked out well, but I haven't discovered it doesn't always work as well as I hoped. I had learned a lot during that time in terms of how to approach a mix in styles and by now, I think I have found a way to make it much more comfortable as this one is.
    Thank you!
