Hi! 👋 My name is Cheyenne and I'm from Canada. I write 📝 adult science fiction/fantasy (I like to call it 'galactic fantasy'). My current project, _All Our Sins_, has been in development in one form or another since I was ten years old. The first book in the series is a WIP called _The First Sin_. I do my best to draw character art, create maps, and other fun images for AOS but it's slow going for me. I use CSP, Procreate, and an ancient copy of Photoshop to create my images. My forte is definitely writing though! I'll make another blog post that talks about what TFS is about. My favorite books 📚 from the last few years are Jenna Moreci's _Savior_ series, _Iron Widow_ by Xiran Jay Zhao, _The Goddess of Nothing At All_ and _Epilogues for Lost Gods_ by Cat Rector, and _Operation Pinpoint_ by Landra Graf. Right now I'm reading _Skylark in the Fog_ by Helyna L Clove. I highly recommend all of these books if you're into SFF! When I'm not writing or reading, I dye yarn 🧶. I also know how to crochet and knit, and am eagerly waiting for delivery of an Erlbacher Circular Sock Machine! 🧦 I have a huge personal stash of fingering weight yarn and can't wait to make a ton of socks! I mostly crochet and have spent a lot of time dabbling in amigurumi, which is the Japanese art of making small, stuffed yarn creatures. I enjoy video games 🎮 though these days I don't play as often as I used to. I have an MMO, _EVE Online_, to thank for introducing me to Iron Wolf, who has been my best friend since 2010 and is now my husband of almost four years! My favorite games are _Mass Effect_ (series), _Guild Wars 2_, and _Myst_ (series). I'm glad to be here and look forward to sharing AOS with you folks and getting to know your projects too!

_The First Sin_, the first book in the _All Our Sins_ series, begins in the Tsinna clanhold. Clan Tsinna is an independent nation in the Empire, but in TFS they've gotten into trouble and need to appeal to a Great Clan for help. The story begins in the city of Shan Yau (roughly in the center-right of the map), travels to Sanctuary (center-ish on the map), and then heads north to the capital city of Sha Nakai. Clan Tsinna is more than just what TFS tells about it. That's why there are a lot of other locations on this map that will never feature in the book. I wanted to make a map that felt like it had a lot of history built into it. The key map in the upper right corner shows the entirety of the world that Tsinna exists in and I hope to one day finish the whole thing! This map was created in Wonderdraft and finished in Photoshop.

When Tårik is unjustly exiled, he faces a fate worse than death: No home. No honor. No future. While struggling to regain his place in society, he realizes that if he fails, he and his friends will be doomed to fulfill the first sign of the 128,000-year-old prophecy that begins his empire's apocalypse. ------ Tårik is a guard for Adya Tårann, the leader of Clan Tsinna. Along with his commanding officer, Jälen, and Jälen’s second-in-command, Kalaanë, Tårik is given the dubious honor of escorting emissaries of the Great Clan Sokôn to Sanctuary, a sacred temple in the heart of Clan Tsinna’s territory, where Clan Tsinna will negotiate a much-needed allyship with Clan Sokôn. To get there, the group must traverse the treacherous slot canyons of the Barren Gale. All does not go according to plan, leaving Tårik and his friends with no choice but to undertake a perilous journey where anything can—and will—happen. The fates of Tårik and his friends lie down a dark path they never imagined. ------ _The First Sin_ is a work in progress galactic fantasy novel aimed at adults. I want it to be an exciting character-driven story involving dangerous and sometimes dark and gruesome events happening on worlds with alien cultures and incredible technologies, where things can go from bad to worse and the ending may or may not be happy. There are no humans in my stories. Humans are boring. :) Instead, the MCs are årdrakin, a draconid race of people descended from animals we might otherwise call dragons. There's also a burrowing species of people called skarastaja. They have long, droopy ears, six eyes, fur, and tend not to wear much in the way of clothing. :p

This is the first piece of character art I've drawn since 2008. Meet Kalaanë, an årdrakin highblood (noble) from Clan Olía-Tsinna. Despite being highblood, she works as a clan guard and is second-in-command. She's also the love interest in _The First Sin_ and kicks a lot of ass while still being compassionate and sensitive.
