OhuHueVember Week 1 is Done! Ft. Johanna Basford’s 30 Days Of Flowers
In case you thought I forgot about this challenge: Nope! I decided early on it would be best for me to only do the *posts* once a week since that’s the part that really wore me out during October. 😵💫

Not quite burning the midnight oil tonight, but still closer than I’m strictly comfortable with. 🫤
For this one though, I decided to let the magnets take the lead instead of thinking about it too much. Sometimes they just know best.

I had much grander plans for MerMay this year but for SO many reasons it just didn’t work out. 😮💨

Sneaking in one last wintry art piece for the month
I had this idea for ages inspired by a line from 2 different My Chemical Romance songs—“Vampires Will Never Hurt You” & “The World is Ugly,” and tried a softer, more painterly style to bring it life
I’m still not sure which of the two versions I ended up with is better, but I am happy with the overall results.

Unusual from me, yes?
About this time last year (❗️) I learned not all console modification requires special tools & expert knowledge. So with a “drop-in” backlit screen from RetroModding.com & a glow-in-the-dark shell kit, I gave my GameBoy Color a makeover!

This poem taught me a valuable piece of advice: Never search for “spicy poetry” on Pinterest in public. 🫣 Even “spicy FOOD poetry” isn’t safe!

Tonight I wanted to break up the use of green/brown/orange with something different—I was thinking of a clicking pen for the poem & my subconscious was going “exploded ink pen” for the background to complement

As for the art, I made the “Purrfect Present” a few years ago. Since I just re-did the coloring page lines digitally & was struggling to think up a new cat piece this year, I decided to re-Color it myself!
