For generations, people have observed these lonesome creatures traveling across the lands, an eternal pilgrimage towards a destination these nomads don't even remember themselves anymore. I like to think these critters are born and die on the road, and they've been doing so for a hundred generations. Maybe their journey started off headed towards a promised land thousands of years ago, but eventually, they forgot, and now just travel because it's all they know.
