Here is my piece for the Buncha Buns! zine, which is a bunny-themed zine for the year of the rabbit! This is a re-imagining of the story of Chang-er where she is an astronaut who lands on the moon and finds herself being invited to participate in a mid-autumn festival celebration held by a small bunny family! Recently participated in a summer themed OC gift exchange event and for my giftee, I drew their OC Holy enjoying her summer, chilling on a hammock with a triple scoop ice cream cone (mango + lychee + raspberry) in hand! ⛱️🍨🍦🌺☀️ OC belongs to [@weirdghostparty](https://twitter.com/weirdghostparty) ngl, I'm really happy with how the pose turned out! ## This artwork was done under the Noise x BOD: 52 Tales Mentorship Programme where each of the mentee were given a certain theme. Mine was 'The Heartlands'. The works were displayed on shards along Orchard road. Here is a short write-up I did: "With a burgeoning population and limited land, almost 80% of Singaporeans live in high-rise public housing known as HDB blocks. Said to emulate the villages of the past, common corridors, void decks and playgrounds at ground level serve as communal meeting places for neighbours to have a quick chat, children to play and retirees to hang out together. Inspired by the Polly Pocket miniature dolls, the illustration shows a whimsical take on the heartlands whilst focusing on the spaces that residents interact with on a daily basis."

This tarot illustration is part of a bigger project called Vocaloid Tarot where artists draw their interpretation of vocaloid songs according to the card they are assigned to. I was tasked to illustrate Sweet Magic ft. Rin Kagamine for the Sun card! I participated in an OC gift exchange/secret santa event on twitter and my santee was [@jarlybarns](https://twitter.com/jarlybarns) on twitter who asked for his OC Caspian to be drawn! I was heavily inspired by religious paintings and wanted to paint irises to represent the character's eloquence, wisdom and passion.

## My finished piece for the "Treat Yourself!" zine. In this issue, the contributors are to personify the various Southeast Asian (SEA) snacks and design a character(s) based on it! I was assigned the ondeh ondeh which is a round ball of cooked glutinuous rice/sweet potato dough filled with gula melaka or palm sugar and decorated with coconut shreds. I wanted to give a more modern take on my characters and give the piece a more tropical vibe. The leftover sales for the Witcher fanzine I'm in have begun so I can finally show the piece I did for this zine! Some ramblings about this piece because I worked VERY hard on it lol: This illustration was based off a scene in one of the books where Geralt and his nakama gather and bond whilst preparing and cooking fish soup. I was always taken with that scene so I wanted to have a hand in drawing that scene out. I'm actually proud of this illustration! There were a few speed bumps along the way but managed to figure it out one way or another... which I guess is one main reason why I have such an affection for this piece even tho there are a few mistakes here and there like the perspective... Surprisingly, I actually like how I rendered/painted this piece! However, I wouldn't do it again because it was so damn tedious ( I was experimenting with a brush I haven't used before) To simplify things, I based the characters off the Netflix series. For characters that haven't been revealed, like Regis and Milva, I referenced other Witcher medias like the game, trading card art, etc... I had the most liberty with Milva since I wanted to use her future actress representing her as reference. Hence the asian inspiration for her outfit. For Cahir, its a mix of the Netflix series and the trading card art. I think I wanted him to look slightly different from his Netflix counterpart because he is portrayed differently in the books. Because I worked so hard on this piece, you get to see the many progress shots. Please swipe to see more WIPs and other sketches/ideas I had at the end!
