A painting of my OC for a trading card event! Swift (he/they) is a young scholar, stuck between the laws of the known world and a new evolution of magic. It would be a lot more amazing... if it wasn't happening to himself.
I tried to include a lot of feelings in this piece to show a bit of Swift's journey. His closed off/shy nature, uncertainty in the world, his ties to heritage and tradition in the mask, and the insecurity of floating. The clouds also allude to his physical journey, which ultimately helps him tackle the fear of change.
