My first image uploaded here, and, oh hey, it's game assets! This is specifically for one of the characters in the Heaven^2 gamejam I've been working on. I doubt I'll get it done in time, but why not upload some of the sprites I make for it, at least?
'Ae/Aer', one of the woo-able angels! 'The Spiral', based on aer face. Originally called 'Ribbons', due to aer concept design featuring ribbon-like growths. Those are 6 wings in total! None of the angels in the game actually follow any true form of biblical accuracy, (and that's a bit of a funny term since only the first sphere angels are really all that freaky), but that doesn't mean I didn't let myself have a little fun!
Anyways, ae are an excellent example of the general design basis of angels for the game. Not all are humanoid like The Spiral, but most follow a theme of being based around both porcelain items, as well as the White Phyrexians from MTG. I'm a sucker for the clean white carapaces, but bloody-looking internals! In particular, I was inspired by dolls, here.
Enjoy!
