I finally made new art, so I'm going to upload the last thing from my backlog. Finally....

Original description:

I had to draw Best Girl Xinyan at some point though.
She was a mainstay of my team for a very very VERY long time, and I grew very attached to her as a character... despite her getting no content for a year after her being added to the game. Shes a rock musician who wants to challenge peoples prejudices. Its like she was tailor made for my enjoyment.
Anyway, shes getting event content now and... shes a sweetheart and my love for her is Validated. I just need some non-event content to exist for her now (Xinyan hangout when, Hoyoverse?)


This piece took me....... a lot longer than I want to admit. A looot longer. I like the way i work, but I definitely need to try and find a faster method and stick to this for larger pieces

Vibrant colors are the best to work with.

It’s not done because I still have to add more fish and render the character to fit the environment but this is what I have so far of my Themed Project for my art appreciation class.

This piece is supposed to represent the way it feels to be going along the path you have chosen in life, and getting either stuck on multiple problems (the rocks) or feeling like you’re going too slow compared to others on the same path (the fish) two other things it represents are tranquility and contentment with where you are in your path.

The reason the character has been placed instead of them just being another fish is to show how complex and large your own story is to you while the others around you seem to have smaller lives in comparison- you don’t know their thoughts, what they’ve been through to get there, or what they’re trying to get to, to you they are small in comparison to what you experience in life.

Its a lot to add to a WIP post but I thought I could at least explain it a bit.
