**[Backstory]**

Leon was blessed by the frostmaiden at birth to be her chosen sacrifice. This meant he never felt the cold his entire life. At 17 when he was chosen to be sacrificed, he decided he wanted to live and paddled his way through a freezing lake to shore. This cost him his hands. A cleric saved his life and was able to heal his hands but the black dead scar left behind was a constant reminder.

Years passed and he joined an adventuring party who aspired to take down the frostmaiden and bring an end to the neverending winter that the frostwind dales suffered. Through blood, sweet, tears, and many friends lost along the way; the group succeeded in warding Auril off and ending the winter. As her influence on his life slipped away, his hands returned to normal and he was able to feel cold for the first time in his life.

He cried.
