• One of my older pieces I made in August of last year. Just a simple cowboy shot of how I draw myself and trying to find a good method for rendering. In this piece, I tried hard shading in one color (purple) and this was the result. I still quite like this drawing even if I feel like my rendering could be better (I mean, that's how I feel about rendering in general lol-)

This is my first post on this art platform and I'm cautiously optimistic that this year will be a nicer landscape for artists than the last one. <3

  • 2018 Inktober day 5, prompt word "chicken"... I don't know how this came into my mind. I was thinking about roman thermae and a dinosaur, and of course a beautyful woman... then this idea of "meet your evolution" joke popped up. I find it a funny piece.

  • Arabella's my character in a MASKS campaign run by the ever lovely RoadBread ! She's a small, heavy hitting tank of a girl who excels in punching the lights out of the opposition, but doesn't do too well when it comes to... talking to people and other standard High School student stuff.
I've been having a lot of fun playing her for the past year! Cheers to RoadBread for being such an awesome GM!
(Oh, and shoutout to my friend Jerdan's character, Blake! And my friend Joshua's character.... Joshua!)

  • The idea is kinda old to me now, but at the time I was all about it. It was meant to be a Mizurui runaway royalty AU.
This was also testing of an idea where I put watercolour onto a doily and pressed it onto paper to create these cool and unique patterns.

  • “You approach the lone carousel horse, a shiver down your spine as you catch the glint in its eye, perhaps a trick of the bright blaring lights around you. You hop on it’s back and it starts up with a sickening clunk, it begins to move up and down with great struggle, evidence of its age. Between your legs it feels like the horse is breathing. You hear the carousel whisper to you, “would you like to slay God?”

  • We've reached the end of this arc. I didn't originally plan on having an arc when I started writing these. I was just gonna do random stuff. But then I started thinking about how there's all these things that happen when I shop that make the experience very unpleasant for me. I could still do other shopping related comics, but they wouldn't fit with this arc and I can always do them later.

This one isn't really limited to shopping, however. It's general social interaction. In the first panel, it's not conveyed very well but she's trying her best to look at nothing in particular. Meanwhile the guy standing behind her is just looking straight ahead. I'm always worried someone will think I'm staring but other people don't really seem to care.

Then there's small talk. Small talk is painful for me. I know there's the social script everybody uses.

    1: Hello. How are you?

2: I'm good. How are you?

    3: I'm good. Thanks.

I do follow it but I can't really stand it, and this comic shows why. It's hard for me to answer with "I'm good," because I might not be. Or I might be "neutral". Either way it feels like I'm lying, which is unpleasant for me. Like Hearts, I focus on something else that won't be unpleasant for the person asking. It makes the situation easier for me. Especially if it's reasonable to expect I'll be standing there with that person for at least a minute. Sometimes I may engage with the generally accepted social script anyway in order to quickly get through the moment.

I have had at least one ex tell me that they didn't think it was appropriate for me to do that. Especially since I may be prone to oversharing. Well, maybe people just need a social script for small talk that doesn't require me to lie! Or doesn't feel so impersonal. I'd rather they say nothing to me if they don't want to actually know how I am.

  • I never had a Furby ya'll, but I so wish I did! At least I have a couple Furby OCs though, this is one of them! Equinox is soooo cute! Designed by [Royal_Drink](https://toyhou.se/Royal_Drink), I love this lil guy so much!

Image Description: A shaded fullbody drawing of Equinox, a sable brown wooden Furby-like character with a mushroom cap that has orange protrusions on it's top, and orange fluffy hair-like fungi underneath. Equinox is looking happy, with it's eyes closed and a warm undertone to all the shading and highlights.
